Harpy in Wine & Copper Anteater It is made from Japanese

It is made from Japanese paper

The chatelaine handbag was designed to attach to a belt

I’ve used a shimmering brown decorative paper to stand in for the brown silk faille of the dress

and glass beads stand in for the buttons decorating the spencer jacket

you'll see that this ferocious little vampire bat has teeny tiny stitched fangs

Harpy in Wine & Copper Anteater It is made from JapaneseThis slightly terrifying, yet also adorable harpy is based on an illustration from John Jonstons Natural History of Birds, the sixth volume of his epic Natural history of the quadrupeds published between 1650 and 1652. She is 3. 25 inches tall, stitched by hand on 5x7 inch 100% cotton watercolour paper, which means that it will pop right into any commercial frame in that size, and be ready to hang on your wall. Materials: Nepalese lokta & Thai kozo
